Tourist Visa Requirements for Mongolia

To apply for a Mongolian tourist visa, applicants must submit a visa application along with the required supporting documents at the nearest Mongolian Embassy or Consulate. The following documents are generally required:

1. A completed visa application form 
2. Your original passport, valid for at least six months beyond your intended travel date to Mongolia 
3. One passport-sized photograph (3.5 × 4.5 cm) 
4. Confirmed flight or train tickets matching your travel dates 
5. Hotel or accommodation booking confirmation in Mongolia 
6. Proof of sufficient financial means, such as bank statements from the last six months (if required) 
7. Payment of the visa fee upon submission of the application (non refundable) 

Tourist Visa Fees

• Single-entry tourist visa: USD 45 per person 
• Double-entry tourist visa: USD 60 per person 

(The standard visa processing time is approximately one week ).

Do I Need a Visa for Mongolia?

Visa requirements for Mongolia depend on your Nationality. Citizens of certain countries may enter Mongolia visa-free for a limited period, while others are required to obtain a visa before arrival.

How Can I get Visa If there Is No Mongolian Embassy or Consulate in My Country?

If you're traveling from a country without a Mongolian Embassy or Consulate, you may be eligible for a visa on arrival at the airport in Ulaanbaatar.  A 30-day tourist visa may be issued upon arrival with the following:

• 108,000 MNT (approximately USD 45) in cash 
• Two passport-sized photographs 
• A pre-approval or official invitation letter from a Mongolian organization or travel company .
