Types of Accommodation Provided

Our Tours clearly state a mix of:

- Hotels in Ulaanbaatar (usually 2–4 star standard depending on package)

- Ger camps in Mongolia located in rural areas

- Occasional basic guesthouses or homestays in remote regions

In areas like the Gobi Desert, Ger camps are the standard form of accommodation.

Standard of Accommodation

We usually include a disclaimer that:

- Standards may vary significantly between urban and rural locations

- Mongolia travel accommodation outside cities tends to be basic but authentic

- Comfort levels may not match Western hotel expectations

For example:

- Shared or limited bathroom facilities in some camps

- Heating via stoves rather than central systems

- Electricity may be limited or seasonal in remote areas

Room Sharing & Allocation

Accommodation is usually twin-sharing by default. Single rooms require a single supplement fee. Room or Ger allocation is based on availability and logistics.

Changes to Accommodation

We may change accommodation if necessary due to:

- Weather conditions

- Availability issues

- Local disruptions

Facilities & Services Limitations

Especially in rural Mongolia:

- Hot water may be limited or time-restricted

- Wi-Fi may be unavailable or unreliable

- Heating and electricity can vary by season

These limitations are considered part of the travel experience.

Check-in / Check-out Rules

We usually follow standard hospitality rules:

- Check-in and check-out times are fixed by each property

- Early check-in or late check-out may incur extra charges

- Availability is not guaranteed outside standard times

Responsibility for Personal Belongings

Tour operators and properties are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Travelers should secure valuables (passport, money, electronics).

Force Majeure Impact on Accommodation

If disruptions occur (weather, logistics issues), accommodation may be changed at short notice. Alternative lodging may be of a different style or location. Extra costs (if any) may be charged to the traveler.
