Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at support@mongoliatoursbi.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our Tours cover Mongolia’s most iconic and diverse landscapes, combining natural beauty, culture and adventure:

  • Ulaanbaatar – The starting point of most journeys, offering museums, monasteries, and cultural experiences.
  • Gobi Desert – Famous for its sand dunes, camel trekking, flaming cliffs, and unique wildlife.
  • Terelj National Park – A beautiful natural area known for rock formations, hiking, and horseback riding.
  • Lake Khuvsgul – One of Mongolia’s most stunning lakes, ideal for nature lovers and peaceful retreats.
  • Altai Mountains – Remote and dramatic landscapes, home to eagle hunters and trekking adventures.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for travel in Mongolia because many destinations are remote and medical facilities outside Ulaanbaatar can be limited. Insurance helps protect you against unexpected costs related to medical emergencies, trip cancellations, lost luggage, travel delays, and emergency evacuation.

For adventure activities such as:

  • Horse riding
  • Hiking
  • Camel trekking
  • Off-road expeditions
  • Mountain trekking

you should ensure your insurance policy specifically covers adventure activities and emergency evacuation. Standard insurance policies may not include these activities automatically.

Our  Mongolia tours travel through isolated regions with rough roads and long driving distances, making evacuation coverage especially important.

We recommend purchasing travel insurance that includes:

  • Medical coverage
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Trip cancellation/interruption
  • Lost or delayed baggage
  • Adventure activity coverage

The most popular season is June–September for mild weather, festivals, and easier road travel. Winter tours are best for travelers interested in eagle hunting, snow landscapes, and nomadic winter life.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Travelers should check the latest embassy requirements before booking.
